*During the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, students should stay updated on the latest pandemic restrictions. Aurora will operate according to those restrictions.

The STUDIO

All reference to the ‘STUDIO’ refers to Aurora Dance Studio, its staff, employees, sub-contractors, agents and representatives.

Facilities refer to the Hoops, Poles, Yoga chair, changing place, locker and dancing room where applicable.

Student of the studio are bound, as a condition of membership, to comply with the rules set out below.
This is to ensure that the facilities are properly and safely used and that all students have full advantage of them without interfering with the enjoyment of others.

 

Membership

All students must be over 16 to avail of facilities and services provided at Aurora Dance Studio. If Student under 16 who must provide the parent approval letter before join the classes.

You will be liable for any damage caused to our equipment or facilities through your negligent use.

Aurora Dance Studio is a private studio and the management reserve the right to refuse student to any individual without cause.

By joining the Studio activities, student automatically accept and agree to be bound by these conditions of joining.

The studio may withdraw use of all or part of the facilities for the purpose of undertaking maintenance work or any other work considered necessary for a maximum period of seven working days.

Entry will only be permitted to those with a valid proof, in date and in credit.
As a student you agree to comply with the rules of the club with regards to use of the facilities, opening hours and your conduct.
The studio may make reasonable changes to these rules, from time to time, provided the club gives advance notice of these changes.

You may, at your own discretion and expense, obtain personal insurance for loss, injury or damage that you might sustain arising from use of the studio.
You exercise at your own discretion and accept any injury or illness brought on by exercise is your own responsibility.

Student wishing to report on accidents, incidents, or problems with services provided at the club should contact the Manager (ask reception desk) or can email to adm@auroradancestudio.com in confidence and confidentiality.

In the event of a breach of membership rules and regulations the Club reserves the right of admission and may reserve the right to require any member or guest to leave the premises.
Any member found in breach of rules or committing an illegal act, including theft, will be asked to permanently leave the club and be barred from ever entering the club again.

 

Storage

Lockers are provided for the use of students.

We do not accept any liability for any losses, damage, personal injury or other loss caused by any negligent act or omission of those providing the “additional services” which are specifically excluded from the rules and agreement and we do not accept any responsibility for the same save where precluded by law.

 

Opening Hours

The studio reserves the right to vary the opening hours as considered necessary for the proper operation of the centre.

 

Safety & Hygiene

Throughout the course of your joining with the studio, regular health and medical screening should be sought from your General Practitioner.

Before using the facilities, you should go through a basic introductory session with one of the instructors, followed by further sessions (as necessary) to ensure that you understand the equipment and adopt a safe training regime that suits your needs.

It is necessary that all students of the studio wear appropriate, clean attire and foot wear when using the studio.

If you feel dizzy, unwell, faint or feel any unusual pain then you must stop exercising and inform a fellow student or staff immediately.

In the interest of hygiene members must wipe down each piece of equipment after use.

Studio users are advised to inform the instructor of any injuries, pains or concerns prior to the class starting.

 

STUDIO RULES

  • Be courteous to staff and other student while having class and practice.
  • Dress appropriately. Know the STUDIO’s dress code and make sure clothing and footwear is clean and correct for exercise.
  • Return the equipment to the correct place after use – don’t be the person everyone else hates in the STUDIO by leaving equipment on the floor.

 

Individuals not adhering to these rules may be asked to leave.

Management reserves the right to revoke or cancel relationship of repeat offenders.

CLASS RULES

  • Students are requested to arrive for classes on time. In the interest of member safety entrance to classes will not be suggested to students arriving more than 15 minutes late.
  • Please be punctual for classes as your space will be reassigned if late.
  • Classes cannot be booked for more than one person – you can only book yourself in.
  • Class timetables will provide during enrollment period.
  • Students must release their space if unable to attend.  Cancellation must be received 6 hours prior to class start time.
  • Student can use the booking system for release, catch up and drop in the class by the booking system. If a chosen class is fully booked, student need to monitor the booking system if needed.
  • An instructor may, at any time, request a member to leave a class if they are jeopardizing the safety or environment of others.
  • Please notify the class instructor of any medical condition and/or pregnancy.
  • Appropriate clothing & footwear must be worn.

 

Removal of Equipment    

Equipment is to be used in its designated area. Please do not move or relocate equipment to other areas and/or rooms.  All equipment has a home, please return equipment after each use.

Please share equipment in between sets. It is unreasonable to expect to claim several poles, hoops or equipment. Please be considerate, especially during peak times.

 

Behaviour & Conduct        

We pride ourselves on being a safe and welcoming family based environment; poor conduct will not be tolerated. Aggression, bullying, excessive swearing and/or derogatory comments will be acted upon immediately. If you are having problems with other students, direct your concerns to management. Do not retaliate or confront the other party. Please make sure all areas are left clean and tidy, including rubbish removal and clean up of spills.

 

FAIR CANCELLATION POLICY
Once payment is received for classes/lessons enrollment, the paid fees are non- refundable.
We operate a fair cancelation policy as follows. This means that we will cancel your agreement and refund any money paid in cash up front. However, we do require 5 working days in order to process it. The period of refund only relates to the date from when the letter is reveived.
1 Doctor’s certificate stating that exercise will be detrimental to health if continued.
2 Made redundant after joining the facility – proof of redundancy letter needed.

 

FREEZING YOUR CLASS
1.Temporary Illness or Injury: This agreement may be frozen in the event of serious temporary illness, injury or medical condition upon appropriate proof from a doctor or other suitably qualified medical practitioner.
2. Pregnancy: This agreement can be frozen if you become pregnant for a maximum of 6 months pre-birth and a maximum of 6 months post – birth upon the appropriate proof being given.
Please note – ANY Freeze will not be effected until the appropriate proof is provided and received.

 

Our commitment to you
1. We will respect your personal decisions, and allow you to make your own decisions about what exercise you can carry out. However, we ask you not to exercise and dance beyond what you consider to be your own abilities.
2. We will make every reasonable effort to make sure that our equipment and facilities are in a safe condition for you to use and enjoy.
3. We will take all reasonable steps to make sure that our staff are qualified to the standards.
4. If you tell us that you have a disability which puts you at a substantial disadvantage in accessing our equipment and facilities, we will consider what adjustments, if any, are reasonable for us to make.

Your commitment to us
1. You should not exercise beyond your own abilities. If you know or are concerned that you have a medical condition which might interfere with you exercising safely, before you use our equipment and facilities you should get advice from a relevant medical professional and follow that advice.
2. You should make yourself aware of any rules and instructions, including warning notices. Exercise carries its own risks. You should not carry out any activities which you have been told are not suitable for you.
3. You should let us know immediately if you feel ill when using our equipment or facilities. Our staff members are not qualified doctors, but there will be a person available who has had first-aid training.
4. If you have a disability, you must follow any reasonable instructions to allow you to exercise safely.

This statement is for guidance only. It is not a legally binding agreement between you and us and does not create any obligations which you or we must meet.
